Going to Wellington with my horse is something that I never dreamed would happen in my life. Then it did! I have known for 3 months that this was going to actually happen. At first I didn’t even feel comfortable saying the words, then I got really excited and as word got out that I was going to go to Florida and more customers were telling me how excited they were for me, how much fun I was going to have and so on, it started to feel real.

But I still had to get through the holiday season and with so much on my plate I didn’t think too much about Florida. Then all of a sudden my first trip was a week away…then a few days away…that’s when I started to get really stressed! Having a dream come true is both fabulous and terrifying all at the same time. But with the support of my amazing husband and some good friends I was able to put the anxiety aside and enjoy the fact that this long held dream was finally happening.

I arrived in Wellington today. Got myself to the farm and was beyond excited to see Ollie! He got lots of kisses and neck scratches and I was just so happy to be able to give him a big hug.

As I’m sure I had a really goofy look on my face as I just kept repeating, “I can’t believe I’m actually in Wellington” all day long. There is so much to see and do, I still can’t believe I’m here. I was definitely a little rusty after barely riding for a month. But this dream is just beginning and I can’t wait to see where it goes!
