A basic pelham that provides leverage as well as curb action and applies a standard amount of pressure to the roof of the mouth. Rubber mouths will be softer than their metal counterpart. It can be used with one or two reins, however if using only one rein, many riders use a Bit Converter to avoid relying too much on leverage.
